Presentation Guidelines
All presentations should be prepared according to the guidelines below, to ensure a smooth flow:

  • the correct presentation format must be used (see below)
  • the duration of the presentation should not exceed 7 minutes. Your lecture slot includes a 3-minute discussion. The maximum total duration of the presentation, including the discussion, is 10 minutes.

Presentation Format
Please use Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 – 2021 (*.ppt) to guarantee your presentation corresponds with the PC on‐site. If you use MS PowerPoint we recommend saving your presentation in a .ppt‐format and not .pps. All presentations will be presented in a resolution of 16:9.

Pictures / Videos
JPG images are the preferred file format for images within the presentation. GIF, TIF or BMP formats will be accepted as well. The resolution of pictures between 72 and 200 dpi is sufficient. Higher resolutions would only increase the file size of your presentation and not the quality. The maximum file size of images should not exceed 250KBytes.
Due to the many different video formats, support cannot be provided for embedded videos in your presentation; Generally, the MPEG‐2 format should work without any difficulties. The file size should not exceed 25 MB. Movies or videos that require additional reading or projection equipment will not be accepted.

Fonts
Only fonts which are included in the basic installation of MS‐Windows 10 will be available (English version of Windows). The use of other fonts can cause the wrong layout/style of your presentation. Suggested fonts: Arial, Calibri, Tahoma. Different fonts must be embedded into your presentation. Please use high-contrast lettering and fonts with a minimum size of 16pt and high-contrast layouts like light text in dark colors.

Further Information
You can control/move slides during your presentation on your own (via remote control PowerPoint)

Kindly be at the meeting room at least 10 minutes before the start of the session to meet the chair and familiarize yourself with the technical and other equipment. The use of your laptop for the presentation is not possible.
